The Uttarakhand Special Task Force (STF) on Sunday arrested the 44th accused Rupendra Kumar Jaiswal from Lucknow in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) graduate level recruitment exam leak case of 2020-21.

The senior superintendent of police of STF Ayush Agrawal said in a Press conference here on Sunday that Rupendra Jaiswal had introduced one of the main accused of the case Sadiq Moosa, who was arrested by STF in September last year, to a man named Kasaan who worked in RMS Techno Solutions Private Limited that managed the printing of UKSSSC’s examination papers. Kasaan leaked the examination paper to Moosa through Jaiswal who got Rs five lakh in lieu of this work, said Agrawal. He said that Jaiswal was associated with the company’s owner Rajesh Kumar Chauhan since 2011 and used to visit him frequently at the company where he also got acquainted with Sadiq Moosa and Kasaan.

The SSP informed that the police were looking for Jaiswal and had also announced a bounty of Rs 25,000 on his head. The STF finally arrested him from Lucknow after getting crucial evidence against him. He said that the STF is also working on identifying candidates who bought these leaked question papers to take action against them as well. All culprits involved in the case will be nabbed soon too, added Agrawal.
