Met dept issues red/orange rain alert for several districts

In latest Uttarakhand news, with heavy downpour still wreaking havoc across the State, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said in his twitter account that the people and the pilgrims should refrain from venturing out unnecessarily in view of the regional meteorological centre having issued red and orange rain alert for several districts of the State. The CM also said that he had directed the district administrations concerned and the SDRF teams to remain in round the clock alert mode. “Besides, I am myself monitoring the developing situation by contacting the officers concerned,” he added.
