UPES concluded Renaissance 4.0: International Space Convention 2025, a three-day gathering hosted by the School of Advanced Engineering (SOAE) and organised by the Infinity Space Club (AIAA Global Student Chapter, Region VII) and recognised ISRO Space Tutor. A number of industry leaders, scientists, researchers and students participated for focused dialogue, community-building and experiential learning aimed at advancing India’s aerospace and space-technology ambitions.
The UPES sources said that participation from the Directors of North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC) and Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) and the Director Generals of Indian Space Association (ISpA) and SIA-India (An Industry for Space Association) had highlighted the national significance of the proceedings.
Speaking at the event, DG, ISpA, Lt Gen Anil Kumar Bhatt said that if Indian students could design for debris mitigation, interoperable systems and mission reliability at the university level, industry would inherit teams that are flight-ready from day one.
The vice-chancellor, UPES, Ram Sharma said that Renaissance 4.0 has been a powerful catalyst for the future of Indian aerospace. “Bringing together pioneers from ISRO, ISpA, and AIAA allowed us to do more than just discuss space technology; we put our students through the paces with high-stakes challenges,” he added.
