A number of candidates filed their nominations from different constituencies on the last day of filing nominations for the Assembly elections. In Pauri district, Pradesh Congress Committee president Ganesh Godiyal filed nomination from Srinagar constituency, BJP candidate Reetu Bhushan Khanduri filed her nomination from Kotdwar while Congress candidate Keshar Singh Negi filed nomination from Chaubattakhal. Congress candidate Shailendra Rawat filed nomination from Yamkeshwar and Congress candidate Anukriti Gusain Rawat filed her nomination from Lansdowne. Others who filed their nomination include Samajwadi Party candidate Subhash Negi, BSP candidate Sandeep Kumar and Akhand Bharat Vikas Party candidate Ganesh Lal- all from Srinagar, AAP candidates Manohar Lal Pahadi and Manorath Nirala along with UKD candidate Poonam Tamta, SP candidate Rajendra Prasad SP candidate Ramesh Chandra and Uttarakhand Ekta Party candidate Omkar Singh from Pauri. Total 28 candidates filed their nomination from different constituencies in the district on Friday.
In Chamoli district, 11 candidates filed their nomination on Friday. These include independent candidates Anil Kumar Gusain, Mukund Singh, Vikesh Dimri, SP Singh and BSP candidate Mukesh Lal Keswal from Badrinath,independent candidates Ganesh Kumar, Uttarakhand Jan Ekta Party candidate Nainram, UKD’s Kasvi Lal, SP candidate Kishore Kumar and BSP candidate Lakshman Ram from Tharali constituency.
