Covid-19; 31 new cases reported in U’khand

The state health department reported 31 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 47 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Monday. Death of one patient from the disease was reported on the day.

The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,42,423 while a total of 3,28,589 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state 7368 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is now at 95.95.  A patient of Covif-19 was reported dead in Military Hospital (MH) Pithoragarh on the day.

The state health department reported 11 new patients of Covid -19  each from Dehradun, four each from Haridwar and Pithoragarh, three each from Uttarkashi and Champawat, two from Bageshwar and one each from Chamoli, Nainital, Tehri and Udham Singh Nagar districts on Monday. No new patient was found in Almora district on the day.

 The state now has 446 active cases of Covid 19. Dehradun with 190 cases is at top of the table of active cases while Pithoragarh is at second spot with 52 active cases. Chamoli has 48, Champawat, Rudraprayag and Udham Singh Nagar have 29 each, Uttarkashi 17, Haridwar and Pauri 13 each, Bageshwar 11, Nainital five and Almora four active patients of the disease.

 The state reported no new case of Mucormycosis (Black fungus) on Monday. A total of 570 patients of the disease have so far been reported.  In the ongoing vaccination drive 45,428 people were vaccinated on Monday in 473 sessions held in different parts of the state.
