Rain & snowfall forecast once again in State today

After a sunny day in most parts of the State, rain and snowfall are once again likely in many parts of the State on Friday. The State meteorological centre has also issued a warning (watch) regarding the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/hail likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of the State today. The meteorological centre has forecast that very light to light rain/ thunderstorm/ snowfall are very likely to occur at many places with moderate rain/ thunderstorm/ snowfall at isolated places in districts of Uttarakhand today. Further, snowfall is likely to occur at places situated at altitudes of 3,500 metres and above.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is likely to experience partly to generally cloudy skies with light rain/ thunderstorm accompanied with lightning likely to occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 29 degrees Celsius and 14 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Thursday were 27.9 degrees Celsius and 13.3 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 28.3 degrees Celsius and 13.1 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 18.5 degrees Celsius and 3.7 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 18.8 degrees Celsius and 6.3 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
