Rabi seeds worth Rs 71 L sold till noon on 2nd day of Krishi Kumbh

Seeds of various Rabi crops are being sold from stalls on the second day of 118th All India Kisan Mela and Agricultural Industry Exhibition being held at GBP University of Agriculture and Technology. According to the university sources, seeds of various Rabi crops worth approximately Rs 71.50 lakh have been sold from the stalls till Saturday noon.  Additionally, publications worth approximately Rs12, 000 were also sold from the stalls so far. Further, various private stalls at the fair have also sold a variety of seeds and plants.

Besides, farmers participated in the auction of crossbred heifers at the fair.  By Saturday noon,  over 4,000 farmers had registered while approximately 2,000 unregistered farmers are expected to visit the fair. The vice-chancellor,  Manmohan Singh Chauhan  sounded happy over the large number of farmers showing interest in the fair.
