Punjabi singer jumps to Congress’s bandwagon

Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala joined Congress party in the presence of Chief Minister of Punjab Charanjit Singh Channi and Punjab Congress Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu in Chandigarh on Friday. Sidhu welcomed the singer to the party by calling him an ‘iconic cult figure’. Channi welcomed him aboard by saying that ‘he became a big artist out of sheer hardwork and won hearts of everyone’.

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, known as Sidhu Moosewala is a rapper, singer, lyricist and actor hailing from Moosa, a village in the Mansa district of Punjab. The singer was booked under the charges of using guns and promoting violence in his song ‘Sanju’.
