Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi would give the much needed push to the election campaign of the Congress party in Uttarakhand on Wednesday. She will address an election meeting in Dehradun and release the manifesto of the Congress for the Assembly elections. The media in charge of the Uttarakhand Congress Rajiv Mehrishi said that she would also address a virtual rally from the Luxuria Farm, Canal Road in Dehradun in which party workers of all 70 assembly constituencies would remain connected. He said that she will also release the ‘ Uttarakhand Swabhiman Pratigya Patra’ (election manifesto) on the occasion.
It is worth mentioning here that the Congress party has recently released its theme song which highlights the issues on which the party would focus in its manifesto.
Titled ‘Uttarakhand Swabhiman- Char Dham Char Kam’- the theme song of the party has tried to evoke the issue of Uttarakhandiyat along with its four of its major pre poll promises to the people of the state. Apart from the promise of providing subsidised cooking gas cylinders at Rs 500, jobs and Rs 40,000 to five lakh families, the Congress party has also assured that it would provide quality health care facilities at every village and every door step.
