Pressure of unemployed, Congress forced Govt to cancel UKSSSC exam: Dasauni

PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun

The Pradesh Congress Committee chief spokesperson Garima Dasauni has said that the State government was forced to cancel the graduate level examination of UKSSSC under pressure from the unemployed youngsters and the Congress party. She said that by accepting the demand of cancellation of the examination, the government which earlier had forced the unemployed youths to suffer on the streets has come on the back foot now.

She said that the Congress party during its protest march to the residence of chief minister had demanded that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe should be monitored by a sitting judge of High Court, the controversial graduate level examination should be cancelled and the chairperson of the UKSSSC Ganesh Martolia should be removed from his position.

“The order of the CM regarding cancellation of examination vindicates the stand of the Congress party. In a failed face saving measure, the government enacted a drama under which five MLAs of BJP met the CM on Friday with a demand of cancelling the examination. With this drama the government wanted to show that it exhibited sensitivity while taking the decision of paper cancellation,’’ she said.

The Congress leader demanded that the CMs should now ensure that action on all the culprits is taken and the report of the CBI is made public. She added that the Congress party is standing firmly with the unemployed and will fight till the culprits are put behind the bars.
