Prepare integrated target based plan for children’s development: CM

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed the officers of the State administration to prepare an integrated and target-based plan should be made for overall development of children in the State.
He gave the order while chairing a meeting held to review the preparations for the 25th meeting of the central zonal council (CZC) to be held under the chairmanship of Union Home minister Amit Shah in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh on June 24.
He said that concrete and innovative proposals in accordance with the spirit of coordination of ecology and economy can give new impetus to the overall, sustainable and balanced development of the State. In the meeting, the CM instructed the officials to pay special attention to the nutrition, physical and mental development of children in the State.
He said that the future of children is the future of the State and the country so an integrated and target-based plan should be made for their overall development. He asked the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS), Food Security department, Health department and Sports department to work in coordination with each other, so that special attention can be given to proper nutrition, sports activities, health services and mental development of children.
The CM directed the officers to ensure mandatory registration under Ayushman Yojana in all government hospitals. He said that it should be the priority of the administration that every citizen of the State gets the benefit of this scheme.
Dhami directed the Women and Child Development department to regularly review cases of malnutrition and anaemia and launch campaigns to improve the condition of children. He also emphasized that the system of monitoring and evaluation of such efforts should be strengthened at the district level.
Principal secretary RK Sudhanshu, additional director general of Police AP Anshuman, Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman and director general of Information Banshidhar Tiwari along with other senior officers were present in the meeting.
