The portals of Hemkund Sahib and Lokpal Laxman Mandir will be closed for the winter season on Friday. The Hemkund Sahib Trust has completed all preparations for the closing. The number of devotees this year has been higher than last year, the president of the trust Narendrajit Singh Vindra said, adding that
devotees from across the country have reached Ghangaria to be present at the portal closing ceremony. The closing process will begin at 10 AM after the recitation of Sukhmani Sahib.
The district magistrate, Sandeep Tiwari stated that the number of devotees visiting Hemkund Sahib has increased this year. “While 1.70 lakh devotees visited Hemkund Sahib last year, this year the figure has gone up to 2.72 lakh,” he said.
