Police staffers recover, return lost wallet of female Malaysian pilgrim

Two Uttarakhand police staffers demonstrated remarkable honesty by finding and returning a cash-filled wallet to its owner who is a female Char Dham Yatra pilgrim from Malaysia, Saroja. She had lost her purse while she was at Yamunotri Dham which contained important documents along with cash worth Rs 10,000 and about 2,800 Malaysian Ringgit (equivalent to Rs 58,000 in Indian currency).
Worried over the loss, she had sought police help in recovering the missing wallet.
On receiving the information, the head constable, Deepak Kandhari and constable, Harimohan Rana swung into a search. Their search for the missing purse succeeded in no time. The purse was found and returned with the cash and papers remaining intact inside.
Saroja looked overwhelmed with emotion on getting back her purse and expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Uttarakhand police.
