Rajesh Chandra represents India in UN art gallery show

Rajesh Chandra from Rishikesh who usually paints cultural and environmental subjects represented India through his art on World Oceans Day marked on Tuesday in a virtual art gallery show. His artwork is featured in the United Nations world oceans art gallery that was opened to the public on World Oceans Day.

This year he presented his artwork titled World is a Family and gave the message of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbhakum” to the world through his artwork. The art gallery show has been displayed in oceanicglobal.org a portal that is an art exhibition partner of the official UN world oceans day.

He was also featured in the UN world oceans day 2020 along with his two students and these three were the only artists selected from India. Last year his painting titled ‘Colourful Cage’ was displayed. One of his artwork titled ‘Colourful Dreams’ also got displayed in international child health group website in London. Chandra said, “I feel honored to be the only participant from India in the artist gallery. It’s a dream come true. I feel very proud that I was able to do represent my country at this level and show my art and our culture to the whole world.”
