Thursday, 14 Jun 2018 | PNS | Dehradun– Raising the case of fake appointments in the secretariat, a delegation of the Pradesh Congress Committee headed by its president Pritam Singh met the Dehradun senior superintendent of police Nivedita Kukreti and sought action against the guilty. The Congress delegation informed the SSP about the case and demanded that case be registered against the culprits. The Congress informed the SSP that some time ago, a case had come to light wherein some persons had been allegedly duped in the name of jobs in the secretariat. Some of those working in the secretariat were also allegedly involved in this fraud. Those who had been duped were mostly unemployed persons from Sahaspur Vidhan Sabha constituency. After the case came to light, an understanding was reached with some of the persons but the money taken from others in return for a promised job in the secretariat has not been returned to them. Earlier, regarding this case a delegation of Congres members led by the party’s state secretary Azad Ali had met the superintendent of police (City) on June 8 seeking action against the culprits. However, since no action was taken against those guilty in this case, the Congress delegation led by the PCC president called on the SSP on Wednesday. According to the Congress, the SSP assured the PCC president that order had been given to immediately register a case and soon after investigation a chargesheet will also be filed in the case. Along with the PCC president, the PCC vice president Suryakant Dhasmana, former MLA Rajkumar, chief programme coordinator Rajendra Shah and Mahanagar chief Prithviraj Chauhan among other Congress members were also part of the delegation.
