Pauri district hospital, two CHC given on PPP mode

Mahant Indiresh hospital Dehradun to operate these health centres for four years

After the success of a similar initiative in Tehri, the state health department has now handed over the district hospital of Pauri along with two nearby Community Health Centres (CHC) to the management of Mahant Indiresh Hospital Dehradun under Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode. Under the agreement, the private hospital would operate the district hospital Pauri and CHCs of Pabo and Ghandiyal for a period of four years.

The Medical Superintendent (MS) of Mahant Indiresh hospital, Dr Vinay Rai said that quality healthcare services should be in reach of the needy people of far-flung and remote rural hills. He said that facilities like CT scan, digital ultrasound, X-Ray and a complete team of doctors, paramedical staff and nurses would be available in district hospital Pauri.

In the first phase, three Chief Medical Officers, four physicians, orthopaedic specialist, surgeon, child and newborn specialist, dentist, eye specialist, Obs and Gynaecologist and skin specialist along with 20 Nursing staff, ward attendants, security personnel, housekeeping and Lab technicians would be deployed in the District Hospital, Pauri.
