Patanjali committed to glorious India, healthy, happy & prosperous world- Ramdev

Yoga guru Swami Ramdev said that Patanjali is committed to building a glorious India along with a healthy, happy and prosperous world. He said this at the inaugural session of an international conference on ‘Modernisation of Traditional Indian Medicine: Public Health and Industrial Perspective’ organised by Patanjali Research Foundation and University of Patanjali in collaboration with Society for Conservation and Resource Development of Medicinal Plants, New Delhi and NABARD Dehradun to celebrate Acharya Balkrishna’s 50th birthday here on Monday. Addressing the gathering, he said that till now under Balkrishna’s leadership the world medicine code with more than one lakh pages has been compiled.

Speaking on the occasion, University of Patanjali vice chancellor and head of the research institute, Balkrishna said that good deeds should always be appreciated while contemplation should also continue in order to resolve gaps. He also appreciated the efforts of the Government of India for facilitating organic farming training to farmers through Patanjali. He said that so far 80 per cent of the 40,000 farmers trained so far have increased their income through organic farming.

The Society For Conservation and Resource Development of Medicinal Plants head Dr AK Bhatnagar and secretary GB Rao presented Maharshi Sushrut Samman to Ramdev and Maharshi Vagbhatt Samman to Acharya Balkrishna on the occasion.

The head of the organising committee and PRI senior scientist Vedpriya Arya informed that this conference is being attended by thousands of participants from about 21 nations both online and offline. NITI Aayog member Ramesh Chand spoke on the occasion about modern technology for improvement and development in the agricultural sector. He also appreciated Patanjali’s contribution in the field.  Bhaskar Pant from NABARD, agricultural experts Devendra Sharma, OP Agrawal,  RK Shrivastava, PK Joshi and others also expressed their views on the occasion.
