The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has claimed to register over 27,000 youths in its Rozgar Guarantee Abhiyan in Uttarakhand on the first day of its launch. The state vice president of the party Shishupal Rawat said that 7,000 party workers reached the homes in rural areas across the state who registered with the party under the campaign. The party workers also gave them the Rozgar Guarantee Cards which will make it easier for them to get jobs or unemployment allowance of Rs 5,000 if the party wins the state assembly elections next year. “We received a great response to our campaign throughout the state. A total of 27,359 unemployed registered with us on the first day of our campaign. This number will certainly increase in the next 19 days when the party will take six employment guarantees of national convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. We have conducted a successful Bijli Guarantee Abhiyan and this campaign will be a great success too,” stated Rawat. He added that the party is also receiving an overwhelming response through the social media platforms too. He said, “We will continue to approach locals with our promises and announcements to let them know that there is a party that will actually provide them employment opportunities.”
