Comparing the coalition of INDIA bloc with the Kauravas of Mahabharata, Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said only the BJP government can take firm decisions in the interest of the nation. He participated in a conclave of prominent citizens in support of BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Kurushethra (Haryana) Navin Jindal in Kaithal on Tuesday.

He said that Jindal is a hardworking and dedicated leader and the people should elect him to the parliament to benefit from the double engine of development. Drawing an analogy between Mahabharata and Lok Sabha election of 2024, he said that a Dharma Yuddh is going on in the country.  On one side there are Kauravas of INDIA bloc while on the other side the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding the flag of faith and religion. He said that PM Modi is working overtime to fulfill the dream of Viksit Bharat by considering 140 crore Indians his family members. Dhami said that work in every sector was done by preparing a plan after 2014 under Modi’s leadership. The CM said that many schemes for welfare of the poor are benefiting the people and added that such schemes have changed the lives of crores of people in the country. He said that today India has become self reliant in the defence sector which is a major achievement.

The CM said that by successfully hosting the G20 summit, the world has witnessed the capability of India. PM Modi has taken many historic decisions like implementation of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), ban on triple talaq and construction of a majestic Ram temple in Ayodhya. Dhami said that Uttarakhand has become the first State in the country where Uniform Civil Code (UCC) has been implemented and now the Gangotri of UCC will travel to the entire country from Devbhoomi.

Launching an attack on the INDIA bloc, the CM said that its objective is to come to power by spreading canards and engaging in corruption. He said that the opposition leaders refer to Lord Ram as a fictitious character.
