One more dengue case reported in Dehradun

One new case of dengue was reported in the Dehradun district on Saturday. The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Dehradun, Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma stated that on Saturday, one individual was hospitalised after testing positive for dengue and was admitted to Shri Mahant Indiresh hospital for treatment. This brings the total number of confirmed dengue cases (ELISA-positive) so far to 67, which includes 38 cases in Dehradun and 29 cases from other districts or States, he said.
Dr Sharma further informed that currently 10 patients are hospitalised in the district including six at Shri Mahant Indiresh hospital, two at Himalayan Hospital, one at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh and one at Graphic Era Hospital. Additionally, on Saturday alone, 111 dengue samples were collected, raising the cumulative total to 4,732 samples collected so far. Importantly, there have been no reported deaths related to dengue at this time, he said.
Additionally, on Saturday, ASHAs (Accredited Social Health Activists) and Health department volunteers conducted 18,528 house surveys to check for mosquito larvae. Among these, 40 houses tested positive for larvae. The health department has completed a total of 3,91,345 house surveys, with 1,074 of those showing positive results. Apart from this, on Saturday, ASHA workers and volunteers inspected 1,40,218 containers, of which 57 were found to be positive for larvae. To date, they have surveyed 24,14,353 containers, resulting in 1,342 testing positive.
