One-day workshop held at UVSP for question paper designing

A one-day workshop was held on Wednesday at the auditorium of the Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) in collaboration with the PARAKH programme of NCERT. According to officials, the workshop aimed to design question papers and develop blueprints for key subjects for classes IX to XII, based on the framework prepared by PARAKH.

The workshop was inaugurated by secretary of UVSP Vinod Simalti, who expressed gratitude to CEO of PARAKH Indranil Bhowmik, for his guidance and support. In his address to the participants, Simalti emphasised the importance of approaching the task with utmost seriousness, as their work would lay the foundation for future examinations.

Additionally, nodal officer BMS Rawat highlighted the need for a uniform question paper format across all boards to ensure parity among them. He also said that the phased implementation of the activities prescribed by PARAKH would aid in successfully realising NCERT’s recommendations for achieving uniformity among different educational boards.

Research officer Shailendra Joshi provided further insights into the design, blueprint and development process for model question papers. During the workshop, participants worked on developing question paper designs and blueprints for various subjects and the finalised question papers were compiled afterward.
