The locals say that the glass houses built for tourists participating in the winter games in Auli are now in a bad shape due to lack of maintenance. Besides, the tourists would enjoy snowfall while sitting in these glass houses. A total of eight glass houses were built in Auli. The woods used in these constructions are now rotting while glasses have been found broken at some of these glass houses, the locals said.
A local hotelier, Ajay Bhatt said that these glass houses used to be the centre of attraction for tourists. “But due to lack of maintenance for the last few years, these are in a bad condition and things are going from bad to worse,” he rued.
