No early respite from heat in Doon & the plains

Max temp in Doon likely to reach 37°C today

There appears to be no immediate relief for residents of Dehradun and other areas in the plains from the hot and humid weather being experienced for some days now. According to the state meteorological centre, the maximum temperature in Dehradun is likely to rise to 37 degrees Celsius on Wednesday while the minimum temperature will be about 26 degrees Celsius. The provisional state capital is forecast to have mainly clear to partly cloudy sky with thunder cloud development likely to occur in some areas.

Elsewhere in the state, very light to light rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in the mountainous regions especially in Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts while dry weather is likely to prevail in the plains.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded at various places were 33.7 degrees Celsius and 25.3 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 35.6 degrees Celsius and 27.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 25.5 degrees Celsius and 16.3 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 25 degrees Celsius and 19.2 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
