No differences between AYUSH Ministry & Patanjali now: Ramdev
Alleges pharma mafia, opponents of indigenous systems and nationalism trying to malign efforts
Yoga guru Swami Ramdev has said that elements of the pharmaceutical mafia, opponents of indigenous systems and nationalism may unsuccessfully try to malign the Patanjali enterprise but this will not deter genuine work being undertaken by the organisation. Addressing the media along with Acharya Balkrishna in Haridwar on Wednesday, he said, “We have shared all of our clinical trial documents with AYUSH ministry as requested. The ministry has also categorically agreed that Patanjali Research Foundation has appropriately worked on Covid-19 management. Now there is no difference of opinions between AYUSH ministry and Patanjali.” The label of the medicine will be changed and it will now be sold as an immunity booster.
The duo said that as per the AYUSH ministry, Patanjali is allowed to manufacture and distribute its Divya Coronil tablet, Divya Swasarivati and Divya Anu Taila across India, as per the manufacturing licences granted by State Licencing Authority, Ayurvedic and Unani services, Uttarakhand government.
According to regulations, Patanjali’s Divya pharmacy has taken the licence approval for Divya Coronil Tablet and Divya Swasarivati on its traditional reported usages and has now connected those with the modern research based clinical findings. They said that to establish Ayurveda as evidence based medicinal system, Patanjali Research Institute has been resolutely conducting in-depth research. It has successfully completed in-vivo pre-clinical research on hypertension, cardiac diseases, diabetes, arthritis, liver and skin ailments, Dengue and chikungunya like viral diseases along with learning and memory enhancement, in various animal models. The institute has embarked upon the detailed clinical trial based investigations of these diseases, as well. More than 500 senior scientists in the institute are involved in research and development of Yoga and Ayurveda.
