Temperatures rise amidst partly cloudy sky, similar weather likely today

The weather took a turn in Dehradun and some other parts of the State on Tuesday with partly cloudy skies being witnessed in the provisional State capital for most of the day. However, the maximum and minimum temperatures rose by a few notches above normal in Dehradun and elsewhere in the State.

The State meteorological centre has forecast that dry weather is likely to prevail in the State on Wednesday. Dehradun is likely to witness a partly cloudy sky with mist likely to occur in some parts during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 25 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.

The maximum and minimum temperature recorded in various parts of the State on Tuesday were 24.6 degrees Celsius and 11 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 24.6 degrees Celsius and 7.9 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 12 degrees Celsius and 4.8 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 16 degrees Celsius and six degrees Celsius in New Tehri. The maximum and minimum temperature rose three and two degrees respectively above normal in Dehradun while in Pantnagar both the maximum and minimum temperature were a degree above normal. In Mukteshwar the maximum temperature fell by a degree below normal while the minimum temperature rose two degrees above normal. The maximum and minimum temperatures were both a degree above normal in New Tehri.
