NHM workers extend work boycott call for next 3 days

Intensifying their agitation, the employees of National Health Mission (NHM) extended their work boycott for another three days. The two -day work boycott call earlier given by the association of NHM workers ended on Thursday. However, frustrated over no notice being taken by the administration or the department of their agitation, they decided to extend it further. The president of the association Sunil Bhandari said that the NHM workers are now determined to take their agitation to its logical end. He warned that 3000 NHM workers would be forced to go on an indefinite strike if their demands are not accepted during the next three days. The association demands constitution of a policy for regularisation of NHM workers and also an HR policy.  It also wants a policy to adjust NHM workers working in the hospital under PPP Mode be prepared. Besides, the association wants that proportional parity should be made in the allowance of the NHM workers working in the state, district and block levels and like other states, the loyalty bonus should be paid to the NHM workers.
