NEP in all varsities of U’khand from next session- Minister

A two day workshop on NEP starts in Doon University

The Higher Education minister of Uttarakhand Dhan Singh Rawat has said that the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 would be implemented in all universities of Uttarakhand from the academic session 2022-23. He said that the government has also formed a committee for the systematic implementation of the policy in the universities here. Rawat stated this while addressing a two-day workshop on National Education Policy-2020-Implementation and Curriculum Design organized in the auditorium of Doon University here on Monday. He inaugurated the workshop in the presence of various heads of state universities. He said that the courses which will be set as per the new education policy will be practical as well as helpful in providing employment to students.

The vice chancellor (VC) of Doon University, Surekha Dangwal said that the university is honoured to conduct a workshop on such a vital theme. She said that formulating the curriculum as per the NEP 2020 is a crucial step to ensure its proper implementation which can transform the generations of students in the country.

The VC of Kumaun University N K Joshi, VC of Soban Singh Jeena University N S Bhandari, VC Uttarakhand Open university OPS Negi, VC of Sridev Suman university P P Dhyani, registrar Doon University M S Mandarwal, dean student welfare H C Purohit and others were present on the occasion.
