NCC cadets from U’khand perform at RDC-2026 and shooting competition

National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets from Uttarakhand earned recognition after some of them performed well at the Republic Day Camp (RDC)-2026 and other national-level competitions.
At RDC-2026, senior under officer Aslam Ansari won the gold medal in the Astride, GK category of Tent Pegging (Veterans), standing out for his equestrian skills and competitive precision. Another cadet sergeant Lakshmi Paswan also clinched a gold medal in the Astride, Rowling category of the Dressage (Novice Girls) event. Her performance was appreciated for its discipline, balance and technical excellence.
In shooting, Nancy Baghel was selected for the All India GV Mavlankar Shooting Competition in the 50 metre Peep Sight Prone event. She has also qualified for the 68th National Shooting Championship.
Officials said these achievements reflect the rigorous training, discipline and values instilled by the NCC.
