The two-day national-level start-up competition for school students concluded at UPES on Tuesday. Titled ‘the grand finale of the future founders challenge (FFC) 2025’, the programme brought together students from 30 schools from across India. In the programme the participants pitched their start-up ideas before a jury of entrepreneurs, mentors and investors.

A communique from UPES said, “Designed for students from classes 9 to 12, the Future Founders Challenge gave young innovators a real-world taste of entrepreneurship, from sharpening ideas and building business models to pitching in a professional setting. Over the course of the event, participants engaged in keynote sessions, interactive workshops on entrepreneurship and innovation and multiple pitching rounds that tested not only their ideas but also their clarity, confidence and problem-solving skills.’’

The vice chancellor, UPES, Ram Sharma said, “Entrepreneurship is not about chasing unicorns, it is about learning to observe the world with sharper eyes. If you can identify a real discomfort, a gap or a problem that people face and if you can build a solution that works at scale, you already have the foundation of a meaningful venture. Innovation comes from curiosity and a willingness to question the obvious.’’
