Some tourists and guides recently shot a video of a tiger sauntering on a jungle path while a peacock was also on the same path in the Corbett Tiger Reserve. The clip which has garnered many views on social media has elicited appreciation from the public for showing the national animal and the national bird in the same frame. The scene was shot in the recent past during a safari in the Dhela grassland of Corbett Tiger Reserve. The moment was captured on camera by nature guide Rakesh Bhatt, accompanied by wildlife photographer Shaurya Pratap Bisht and gained considerable popularity on Independence Day.

According to Bhatt, it was an unforgettable experience for wildlife lovers and photographers alike. “Usually, we spot different animals and birds separately in the forest, but witnessing the tiger and peacock together is truly a unique moment,” he claimed.

Every year, thousands of tourists from across India and abroad visit Corbett Tiger Reserve to witness its biodiversity — from tigers, elephants, leopards, bears and deer to numerous bird species and rare wildlife.

Corbett director Saket Badola stated that such sightings further enhance the park’s global importance. “These moments not only attract more tourists but also convey a powerful message about the need for wildlife conservation and the protection of natural habitats. Corbett has always been a global symbol of tiger conservation and eco-tourism,” he added.
