Nadda to attend 5th convocation of AIIMS-Rishikesh today

The fifth convocation ceremony of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh will be organised on Tuesday.

The Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Chemicals and Fertilisers, JP Nadda will be the chief guest while Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will be the special guest in the ceremony. Officials said that degrees will be awarded to 434 students in the convocation ceremony.

After the convocation, the Union Health minister will pay a visit to the aeromedical services of the institute. He will also inaugurate the picture archiving and communication centre (PACS) at the Trauma centre of AIIMS-R. The facility of PET-CT and the newly constructed centre for advanced paediatrics will also be inaugurated on the day.

The Union minister Nadda and CM Dhami will also inaugurate integrated medicine department, Ayush integrated Kalyan Path and Yoga studio at the Ayush Bhawan of the institute.
