Murder accused nabbed en route to Nepal

The Rikhanikhal police have arrested a murder accused within 36 hours of a complaint being lodged against him. The police nabbed Bhure Singh from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh when he was waiting to board a bus for Banbasa from where he was planning to escape to Nepal.

According to the police, Bijnor resident Arvind Kumar lodged a report in Rikhanikhal police station on June 10 stating that Bhure Singh had murdered his 32-year old brother Bittu with a sharp weapon at the forest chowki in Rathuwadhab on the night of June 9. The police registered a case against Bhure Singh under section 302 of IPC. A team was formed to nab the accused. The police team raided various places in search of the accused. The police came to know from an informer that Singh was planning to leave India to escape being arrested.On Sunday the police team arrested accused Bhure Singh. The police said that the accused has a criminal history and that 10 cases were already lodged against him under IPC, Arms Act, Excise Act and other provisions.
