Friday, 16 March 2018 | PNS | PAURI- Minister of State Dhan Singh Rawat inaugurated the newly established police stations at Thalisain  under Thallisain Tehsil and at Paithani under Chakisain Tehsil and also a reporting police post at Paubo  under Pauri Tehsil of the district on Thursday. Notably, these areas have been under the policing jurisdiction of the revenue department. The Minister asked the people not to dread the regular police. “They are here to ensure your security. It would act as people friendly police known as Mitra Police,” he said. Senior Superintendent of Police JR Joshi said police from now will serve 408 revenue villages with the establishment of these police stations and posts. “We are here to serve you,” he said. He added one inspector, two sub-inspectors, two head constables and 11 constables will be deployed for Thalisain and Paithani police stations while  one sub-inspector, one head constable and five constables will be deployed at Paubo reporting chowki. Among others, the district magistrate Sushil Kumar, CMO  RS Rana, ASP Harish Verma,  CO Dhan Singh Tomar, Thalisain SO  Sampurnanand Gairola and SO  Paithani Devendra Aswal were present. The Minister said works to construct a museum named Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali at the old jail in Pauri would start soon. Besides, a statue of the legend will come up at Pithsain, he added. Furniture will be provided to every school of the State by 2019. Besides, all the 95 blocks of the State will be provided with one more 108 Ambulance on March 18. The Chief Minister would inaugurate services of Army doctors in the Srinagar-based medical college on March 19. “We are further assuring that aside from the adequate number of doctors and nurses, medicines and X-ray machines will be made available at the health facilities in Bungidhar and Thalisain,” Rawat said.
