Minimum age for class I entry lowered from 6 to 5

In latest news from Dehradun, the State government has green-lighted the proposal to lower the minimum age for students’entry in class I from the previous six years to five years. The education department said that all decks have been cleared with the receipt of the approval of the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The administration has already sent the order to the election department in view of the model code of conduct being in force. The education department sources said that the election department’s   approval is expected in a week.
