The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara said that the Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and former president Rahul Gandhi have given five historic guarantees to the youngsters of the country in the case of Congress coming to power in the Centre. Interacting with the media persons at Congress Bhawan here on Saturday, Mahara said that the Congress has given a guarantee that all the 30 lakh vacant posts in the government will be filled and new posts will be created in the education, health, Anganwadi and other sectors. He said that in the wake of the series of paper leaks (more than 70) in different States in the last few years, the Congress party has promised to implement a fool proof system of recruitments which includes adopting a transparent system on the lines of UPSC for recruitment in the group D posts. The PCC president claimed that the Congress gives guarantee of social security to the workers of the unorganised sector and efforts will be made to start pension for these workers.

He said that the Congress party will also set up a corpus of Rs 5,000 crore which will be used to create self-employment opportunities. Diploma holders will be made entrepreneurs by providing them start up funds at district level.

In a major proclamation, the Congress party has said that it will guarantee to every graduate and diploma holder that jobs will be provided to them along with degrees. They will also get Rs one lakh as stipend to start self-employment.

The PCC president said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is giving guarantees to the people ahead of the Lok Sabha elections but the fact is no one believes him. The BJP government in the last 10 years has undertaken a “finish jobs campaign” and the guarantees of the Congress party will take the youth out of the hopelessness they are in. He said that Modi has given no guarantee on Old Pension Scheme (OPS), Minimum Support Price (MSP), bringing back black money from abroad, reducing price rise and initiating labour reforms.
