Medical facilities checked in U’kashi to ensure timely & proper treatment

Senior officials have been deputed on the directions of the Health secretary for all districts in view of the Char Dham Yatra, prevention of diseases like dengue and to ensure the accessibility of medical treatment.
The Health department Garhwal director Dr Shikha Jangpangi undertook a three-day tour of Uttarkashi district, starting with a visit to the community health centre in Mori block. She directed the officials to ensure the availability of lifesaving drugs, oxygen cylinders/concentrator and necessary equipment along with necessary staff.
In addition to reviewing the progress of vaccinations, she also directed that the list of free tests should be pasted in the pathology lab. Jangpangi also inspected the Ayushman Arogya Mandir at Gadugad, the community health centres at Purola, Naugaon and Badkot. She directed all the officials in-charge to ensure the availability of equipment and lifesaving drugs in all the hospitals, especially considering the ongoing Char Dham Yatra.
Visiting the community health centre at Chinyalisaud and the primary health centre in Dunda, she inspected the OPD, pathology lab, labour room, medicine store and other facilities. Feedback was also sought from the Char Dham Yatra pilgrims who underwent a health check. Officials said that the majority of such persons expressed satisfaction at the facilities and service.
