MDDA presents Rs 1,000 crore budget for 2025-26 in board meeting

The Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) presented a budget of about Rs 1,000 crore for the financial year 2025–26 during its 111th board meeting held on Thursday. The Garhwal commissioner and board chairperson Vinay Shankar Pandey presided over the meeting at his secretariat office in the presence of MDDA vice chairperson Banshidhar Tiwari.
The board reviewed the compliance report of the 110th meeting and approved the conduct of the 111th session. As per the details issued by MDDA, the board discussed and approved nearly 75 proposals. These included matters related to eco-resorts, hotels, commercial constructions and residential map approvals.
The ongoing MDDA projects such as Adhat Bazaar, residential schemes and Amwala Tarla housing project were also reviewed in the meeting. The board members also discussed the need to identify land for a new residential scheme to address the city’s growing population and provide affordable housing.
The board appreciated the efforts to sell ready-to-move flats in the Amwala Tarla and ISBT housing projects to boost revenue. The board also approved land acquisition under land pooling for the establishment of IT companies as part of the industrial project plans.
