Considering the public response, the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) has extended the last date of registration for its housing scheme Aalayam to September 20.
According to officials, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), the authority had initiated registration of flats under various categories in its housing projects. The last date for registration had been set at September 10. Members of the general public had purchased a considerable number of registration forms. However, some of them were unable to submit the forms in absence of some important documents till the last date for registration. Considering public demand, the authority has extended the last date for registration for its Aalayam project at Sahastradhara Road to September 20. All applicants wanting to register for the EWS homes in the project under the PMAY can do so in the banks concerned by September 20. As before, the forms will be available at the municipal corporation of Dehradun office, MDDA office, the authority’s site offices, Bank of Baroda, Oriental Bank of Commerce and Axis Bank.
The registration for other housing schemes of MDDA for various categories including Transport Nagar LIG, ISBT HIG, Aalayam LIG, MIG and studio apartments will continue as before. Interested applicants if eligible under the PMAY can also avail of up to Rs 2.67 lakh subsidy directly from the banks through the credit linked subsidy scheme.
