Elections for the posts of chairperson and secretary of the Municipal Corporation Employees Union were held on Wednesday. Later, results were declared. While Satender Kumar was elected the chairperson Yogesh Kumar was elected the secretary.
In the chairperson’s race, Satender defeated Rakesh Pandey by a comfortable margin, securing 96 votes against Pandey’s 58. Eight votes were declared invalid during the counting.
The secretary’s election also produced a clear verdict, with Yogesh winning after receiving 100 votes. His opponent, Anil Verma, secured 54 votes. Seven votes were declared invalid in this category.
