Taking note of the recurring waterlogging in several Dehradun roads during monsoon, the mayor Saurabh Thapliyal conducted an on- site inspection of Prince Chowk and took stock of the functioning of the drainage system in the area. He directed all officers and employees concerned to ensure that the Doonites do not face problem due to drainage failure and waterlogging.
He further announced that work on laying a drainage system in the Railway Colony in the city would be taken up soon, adding that it might done through either Dehradun Municipal Corporation or with the assistance of the State administration.
