Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that after the successful hosting of the global investors summit -2023 many companies have set up their industrial units in the state. He said that one of the objectives of the summit was to create employment opportunities for the youth in the State. The CM was addressing a programme after inaugurating a new plant of the Dixon Technologies (India) Private Limited at Selaqui here on Friday. He said that Dixon is a leading company in the manufacturing of electronic equipment in the country. Dhami said that the company will create new employment opportunities in the State. The CM said that the youngsters are increasingly turning to self employment opportunities and are becoming employment givers.
The CM said that the State government is committed to fulfill the dreams of the youngsters and ensure justice to their talents. The CM averred that the State enacted stringent anti-copying law and took strict action against the culprits of the recruitment scams. He said that at present the process of recruitment to 7,000 posts is underway and soon recruitments to thousands of posts will start. Dhami said that the State government is committed to provide employment and create self employment opportunities for the youth with the help of its special single window system. The government has also set up a foreign employment cell to provide employment opportunities outside the State.
The CM informed that the State government is also creating a Rs 200 crore venture fund for promoting start-ups. This fund will help the young entrepreneurs. The CM skill development and global employment schemes have been approved by the cabinet.
An application on the Apuni Sarkar portal has been developed to create a database for the youngsters interested in overseas employment.
The CM averred that the State government is undertaking every effort to increase employment in the State. He claimed that by providing employment to youngsters Uttarakhand will become a model for other States because employment solves many problems.
The chairman of the Dixon Technologies (India) Limited Sunil Vachani said the factory is the fourth plant of the company in the State. Dixon has 23 factories in the country and it employs more than 27,000 employees.
MLA Sahdev Singh Pundir, Industry secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey and others were present on the occasion.
