A man and woman were found dead in a house in the Dharampur area here on Monday morning. The police found an empty syringe and a vial near the bodies and suspect that both had committed suicide. The police informed that the deceased man and woman have been identified as Rahul and Shilpa, a resident of Dharampur area and Bhagat Singh Colony of Raipur respectively. During questioning, the family members of Rahul told the police that he had left the house at 11 PM on Sunday saying that he would return soon but they had no clue when he returned home. The police said that when he did not come out of his room for a long time in the morning, his brother broke the door and found his body next to that of a woman. The police said that an empty syringe and a vial were also found near the bodies that suggest that both allegedly committed suicide by injecting poison. However police said that more details would be revealed only after the post mortem report of the bodies is received. They also informed that the deceased Shilpa was married and had recently come to her maternal home. Rahul’s family has also allegedly denied having any knowledge of Shilpa in the initial inquiry but more details are being gathered about them, said the police.
