Rain and thunderstorms are likely in five districts today with the possibility of intense showers at isolated places in the mountainous regions. According to the State meteorological centre, light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorms are likely to occur at many places in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital and Champawat districts, at a few places in remaining mountainous regions and at isolated places in the plains on Monday. Intense showers are likely at isolated places in the mountainous regions of the State today.
The meteorological centre has forecast that the provisional State capital Dehradun is likely to experience partly cloudy skies today with light to moderate rainfall/thundershowers likely to occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 33 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Monday.
Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Sunday were 32 degrees Celsius and 22 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 36 degrees Celsius and 26.1 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 21.2 degrees Celsius and 14.5 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 22.8 degrees Celsius and 17 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
