Light rain & snowfall likely in parts of five districts today

Thundercloud development & light rain likely in some parts of Dehradun

The continued effect of western disturbance is likely to cause light rain/snowfall in parts of five districts on Monday. The State meteorological centre has forecast the possibility of very light to light rain/snowfall likely to occur at a few places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts and at isolated places in remaining mountainous regions of the State on Monday. Dry weather is likely to prevail in the plains of the State. Further, very light to light snowfall is likely to occur at isolated places situated at altitudes of 3,500 metres and above in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts.

For the provisional State capital Dehradun, the meteorological centre has forecast a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thunder cloud development / light rain likely to occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 26 degrees Celsius and 13 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Monday.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Sunday were 26.9 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 27.2 degrees Celsius and 8.2 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 17.4 degrees Celsius and 5.4 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 18.6 degrees Celsius and 6.4 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
