French luxury brand Chanel appointed Leena Nair as its global chief executive (CEO) on December 14. She will be based in London. She was the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of Anglo-Dutch FMCG major Unilever and stepped down to join hands with the luxury fashion house. Nair took to Twitter and wrote,”I am humbled and honoured to be appointed the Global Chief Executive Officer of @CHANEL, an iconic and admired company.”
Chanel was founded in 1910 by fashion legend Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel in Paris, France and became a big name in the fashion industry.
