Latecomers to face disciplinary action in government offices

Taking a stern note of employees not marking attendance on the biometric system and arriving late in their offices, the State government has directed that strict action should be taken against such employees.
In a letter directed to all principal secretaries, secretaries, director general of police, divisional commissioners, all department heads and district magistrates, secretary Vinod Kumar Suman stated on Thursday that officers nominated will review the attendance details recorded in the biometric system every day at 10:15 am.
He said that verbal warning should be given to those coming late once in a month while written warning should be given on late arrival of two days in a month. The order directs deduction of one day’s salary on arriving late for three days in a month and advocates disciplinary action in the case of late arrival for four and more days in a month.
