More than 1.14 lakh register for Char Dham Yatra

Nearly 63K register for Kedarnath & about 53K register for Badrinath

The number of registrations for the Char Dham Yatra, which started on February 21, has exceeded one lakh. As on Saturday, 1,14,553 devotees had registered for the Yatra, according to data released by the State Tourism department. Out of these, a total of 62,993 have registered for Kedarnath while 51,577 have registered for Badrinath.

 The Uttarakhand Tourism department is offering four registration options this year for the Char Dham Yatra. Yatra registration is available online, over the phone, via WhatsApp and through a mobile app. In addition to 92,397 pilgrims registered through the website, 14,910 and 7,246 pilgrims have registered through the mobile app and WhatsApp respectively. Devotees can register by visiting https://registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in. Alternatively, they can register via WhatsApp by sending “Yatra” to +91 8394833833.

The government has also issued helpline numbers for travel-related information and suggestions for devotees. These helplines include Char Dham’s toll-free number 1364 and 0135-1364 (for other States), Char Dham’s control room number 0135-2559898, 2552627, disaster management number 0135-276066, 1070 (toll-free), etc. Calling these numbers will enable devotees to get the aid and information they require.

The State government has made sure that pilgrims taking part in the Char Dham Yatra this year receive thorough health examinations. For the convenience of devotees, necessary preparations have been made, including the deployment of doctors and other medical professionals and the storage of adequate quantities of medicines and other medical supplies, according to the Tourism department.
