Lalkuan- Jhansi weekly summer special train flagged off

The former Union Minister and Member of Parliament, Ajay Bhatt along with the local MLA, Mohan Singh Bisht flagged off a special train between Lalkuan and Jhansi on Wednesday. He later said that through the operation of this on-demand train service, the people would be able to visit tourist places like Pitambara Shakti Peeth, Veer Singh Mahal, Rajgarh Palace and Sonagir along with places of mythological and historical importance in the district associated with the legacy of Rani Laxmi Bai.

The Railway officials informed that before the inaugural run of the train, a total of 176 passengers had made reservations from Lalkuan railway station of whom 40 people had booked tickets for third AC while 11 for second AC and 136 made their reservations in sleeper class. They all boarded the train from Lalkuan on the first day.

The train number 04181/04182 Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi – Lalkuan- Veerangna Laxmibai Jhansi Weekly Summer Special train will run for a total of 14 trips. The train will operate from Jhansi Junction from June 24 to August 5 with seven trips every Tuesday. Similarly, the return train will operate from Lalkuan from June 25 to August 6 with seven trips every Wednesday.

The train will depart from Jhansi Junction at 08.15 PM and will reach Lalkuan at 09.35 PM the next day. The return train will depart from Lalkuan on the same day (Wednesday) at 12.20 pm and reach Jhansi Junction at 02.05 AM the next day.

This summer special train will have a total of 20 coaches, including two SLRD, four General, 10 Sleeper, three Third AC and one Second AC.
