Kalpavriksha concludes Digital Cadet Programme

Kalpavriksha Sustainable Development Society concluded its Digital Cadet Programme 2025 on Monday in Dehradun. The 14-day training was held in collaboration with Maya Devi Vishwavidyalaya, Selaqui, Dehradun. During the programme, 70 children from rural areas of Uttarakhand received training in digital technologies, including Python programming, data visualisation, designing and project management.
The training also covered future forward seminars with sessions on robotics, cybersecurity and smartphone applications. Students presented 13 community innovation projects at the closing ceremony and among them, CureVaani and Knittify drew attention. CureVaani, a health application, helps people in villages connect with doctors and health services while Knittify focuses on empowering women to become independent through handicrafts.
The officials said that Kalpavriksha will provide year-long guidance to aid the children in developing their innovations and turning them into sustainable community initiatives.
