Kailash Manasarovar Yatra to start on June 30 after 5 years’ hiatus: Maharaj

The State Tourism and Religious Affairs minister Satpal Maharaj said that post-Indo-Pak ceasefire, people in large numbers are streaming into the Char Dham with the GMVN booking having crossed 14 crore. He further said that
a total of 34 lakh devotees have registered offline and online for Char Dham Yatra and Hemkund Sahib Yatra. So far about 15 lakh devotees have availed the darshan of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, Yamunotri and Hemkund Sahib,
He further informed that Kailash Manasarovar Yatra is starting from Delhi on June 30 after five years, adding that 250 passengers will participate in this Yatra this year. This Yatra was last conducted in 2019 and it was hated midway following the outbreak of Corona epidemic. This year a total of five groups comprising of 50 pilgrims each will embark on Kailash Yatra. The first group will enter China via Lipulekh Pass on July 10 and the last group will return to India from China on August 22.
